Mobile Electrical Service Engineer

Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm

Location: Bristol, South-West and South Wales areas.

A new opportunity for a Mobile Electrical Service Engineer to join our team!

The area predominantly covered is Bristol, South-West and South Wales areas. The purpose of the role is to operate within the department supporting the mobile engineering team delivering M&E PPM and associated reactive works to the PPM and as per site request.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.
  • Carry out electrical PPM and reactive works as required both in and out of hours (normal working hours 08:00am – 17:00pm)
  • Work as part of a team utilising other skills as required.
  • Procure materials in coordination with the Contract Delivery Manager
  • Be available to attend or manage critical call outs and provide written incidents reports as required including preparing the basis of the quotes for the remedial works required.
  • Ensure the annual PAT testing of tools and equipment are kept up to date.
  • Carry out engineering works as directed by the Contract Delivery Manager.
  • Assist in production of quotes as required for Managers across the business.
  • Production of Test and Commissioning Certificates
  • General overseeing and completion of PPM works and reporting.
  • There is an opportunity to become AP Trained. Switch/Test/Inspect/Maintain – Low Voltage Plant and Equipment. Authorise CPs – LV

      Skills & Qualifications


      • A minimum of City & Guilds qualifications electrical qualification - Apprenticeship/ NVQ L3
      • 18th Edition
      • Electrical Testing & Inspection (Desirable)
      • A good knowledge of electrical services
      • Sound level of administration and organisational skills
      • Proven practical experience within the electrical industry
      • Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements

      There is no call out Rota with this position however you may be expected to work the occasional weekend from time to time. The on-call requirement may change in the future.
