As a Critical Services Shift Leader at Integral UK, you will be working across a prominent client site in Canary Wharf.
Shift Pattern: Days & Nights - Continental shift pattern (TBC)
Overview:
The Engineering Team Lead forms part of the technical team service provided under the contract. This Role falls part of the Operations team - static based.
Provide Technical Support to the UK Portfolio and oversite control of the Control of works Process.
The role will provide support in the coordination, planning and monitoring of sub-contract works including monitoring, auditing, and enforcement of the Control of Work requirements. The role is responsible for the safe execution, agreed quality and timely completion of sub-contract work and to ensure that the Client & JLL requirements are always adhered to.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To ensure all PPM’s are carried out to schedule and ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests ensuring closing and completion in line with SLA’s.
- Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with Client and H&S procedures, using the permit to work system where applicable and action improvements identified during the building and workplace inspections and reviews.
- Monitor and analyse environmental conditions, review the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
- Fully understand the operational protocols associated with alarm conditions and auxiliary back-up system capabilities.
- Continually communicate building issues to end users, client and Management team, inline with the COW and BP MPS
- Host, oversee and work with visiting contractors, both project related and in support of the operational team activities.
- Manage work delivery to client premises/ floors , ensuring agreed quality objectives and timely project completion
- Manage safe execution of work to ensure adherence to the safe systems of work.
- Carry out and meet SLAs and PPMs set by the contract.
- Look to innovate and improve on best practices and support JLL growth by developing skill sets and learning new processes.
- Develop and share ideals and knowledge.
- Ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests ensuring closing and completion in line with SLA’s
- Provide suitable Health & Safety information to contractors including client protocols & requirements, local procedures, welfare facilities.
- Carry out and document inspections of work equipment within competency.
- Undertake proportionate monitoring of contractors to ensure that method statements and risk assessments, are being adhered to and high standards of work is maintained
- Ensure that refresher training is undertaken for safety critical job specific requirements at regular intervals.
- Support in the training and development of all technical training requirements, including competency training, critical services training and scenario training exercises.
- Proactively seek innovation in all areas of service provision, in pursuit of continuous improvement
- Bring to the immediate attention of TSM and Compliance Manager any critical incident or problem that could affect the ability of the JLL Team to meet their contractual obligations or BP’s expectations.

- Escalate urgent issues identified through to the Technical Services Manager
- Able to apply a risk focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in Labs / critical environments.
- Able to manage cost related to delivery of maintenance activities (specialist and self-perform).
- Ensuring all client services meet client requirements or appropriate SLAs to ensure compliance and performance, covering business continuity.
- Provide supervision and leadership of a service team that ensures the efficient and safe operation of client location(s). Lead and develop a ONE TEAM approach with all Integral/ JLL staff and supply partners as part of Third Party Contractor Management.
- Escalate urgent issues identified through to the Technical Services Manager & Account Manager.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guilds or equivalent in an Engineering, Building Services, Construction or related discipline
- Mechanical/ Electrical Knowledge minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry
- Understanding complex systems and drawings.
- Lotto and tag out process isolate for yourself
- Understanding of UPS and ELV systems
- Commercial and pressure systems LV switching Knowledge
- HvAP or LvAP experience or exposure.
- Facility knowledge working in commercial buildings and RND
- Working on MCCP panels
- Understand of fire systems including panels and sprinkler systems
- Completion of log books for audits
- HSE Knowledge
- SMSTMS / IOSH / NEBOSH certification desirable
