Engineering Supervisor

Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm
Main Duties & Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor Leader to join our team and manage mobile engineers and service providers across our national account, which encompasses sites in London, Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all M&E service delivery, including on-site maintenance and other related duties, while reporting directly to the Account Contract Delivery Manager. This full-time, site-based position is located at our Stratford office, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of M&E services to ensure successful service delivery across multiple locations. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all engineering services, ensuring work meets contract specifications and client expectations.
- Manage contract mobile engineers and service providers effectively.
- Monitor and ensure completion of all PPM and reactive works in accordance with SLAs and KPIs.
- Optimise work allocation to meet performance monitoring system requirements.
- Collaborate in planning and organising tasks for mobile labour and service providers to maintain cost and time efficiencies.
- Supervise material and service deliveries, maintaining accurate records and reports in line with contract governance and compliance standards.
- Assist in identifying chargeable works and preparing estimates.
- Serve as a liaison with clients to address and resolve issues as needed.
- Implement and manage Permit to Work systems effectively.
- Review and approve Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure safe working practices.
- Provide appropriate supervision of engineering service providers, ensuring adherence to contractual commitments and site operating procedures.
- Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks and address reactive maintenance issues at Redman Place, prioritising activities based on available time and urgency.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in commercial maintenance or hard services within facilities maintenance and engineering environments.
- Completed Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent. C&G Parts 1 & 2 certification or higher.
- Health & Safety legislation (IOSH Managing Safely)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to interact effectively at all organisational levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving and maintaining high operational standards.
- Proficient IT skills, including report writing.
- Proactive and flexible attitude with a strong can-do approach
